In addition to his many other accomplishments discussed elsewhere on this site, Jim Mather was awarded the title of Kyoshi
by world-famous Grandmaster Takayuki Kubota. He was also selected as a coach of the official U.S. Karate Team and not only
led the team in official international competition but also worked with the team at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado
Springs.
Sensei Mather has also appeared on the covers of Karate Illustrated and Martial Arts Training
and been featured many times in the major martial arts magazines. Over 100 of his articles have been published to date. He
is also the author of three acclaimed books on the martial arts - The Masters Text on Martial Arts Management,
Instructing Children in the Martial Arts, and Master of Invincibility. He has also made major
presentations at many national and international events, including the WUKO World Karate Congress.
